The Castle of Peñaranda de Duero is one of the main fortresses in the south of the province of Burgos.
With your ticket, you'll have access to the Torre del Homenaje, or Tower of Homage. Inside this magnificent watchtower, you can visit the Interpretation Center of the Border Castles, which houses a set of panels, models, and interactive screens that will allow you to discover firsthand what this place was like in the Middle Ages.
Inside the tower, you'll also learn about the history of the castle of Peñaranda de Duero. The current appearance of the fortress, which dates back to the 15th century, is due to the remodeling by the Zúñiga family.
